Cryptic Criticism: “A Still Life” by Anna Plesset at Untitled Gallery New York

The 1st piece I see is a stack of “something’s” on the floor resembling a stack of newspapers, resembling a stack of flat rocks. They are stacks of blank paper, as it turns out, folded and banded together like a pack of newspapers as if to be delivered on a stoop/doorstep or tossed onto a curb for recycling.

Then I see framed Xeroxed prints, on the wall.  Copied from book covers and blank sheets.  I think it’s about how one arrives at their decision to treasure and protect futile things.
